  When I wanted to go solar I received detailed quotes from 5 different companies in the area. Not only was West Coast Solar the best deal, but they made the process as easy as possible! Ryan was fantastic at teaching me everything I wanted to know about solar, and walked me through every step of the process. He answered all of my questions and stayed on top of the installation steps the whole time. Save yourself getting too many quotes and use West Coast Solar!

  Being new to solar we had a lot of questions. We set out to learn the ins and outs of the equipment, installation process, cost, benefits and set backs. In the process we interviewed many companies, large and small. We were beyond impressed when we met with Michael Kleeman. He was unlike the other representatives we spoke with. He was personable, and took the time to build a rapport in order to better understand our needs. We expressed a concern regarding the appearance of the panels and the importance of minimal conduit exposure. Michael not only said the installation would be done professionally but he was able to speak to the layout after reviewing our property and roof. We were confident in his assessment and trusted his expertise as he has years of experience in roofing and solar.

  West Coast Solar did a fantastic job on our new ADU project. Joe Molale walked us through the process and it all went as smooth as can be!   We researched many companies. We also saw a friend's research on solar companies and we both agreed that West Coast Solar was the best option for us. 2 of our other friends had great experiences with them. Darren Chamberlain (925) 234-8888, walked us through every step. Very professional, knowledgeable and never pushy. He really worked hard to get us set up before the New Year...and succeeded! We put a lot of solar on our house since we also had to install enough for an ADU that we are going to build. Everything from start to finish was fantastic. We are loving watching the meter and how much energy our panels are producing. We highly recommend West Coast Solar...

  We just completed our installation of 31 LG panels and are up and running. I have worked with many contractors over the years of owning our home and I was super impressed with West Coast Solar. Right from the beginning our rep, Ryan Ogan, walked us through all of the details and answered a multitude of questions. Since we are in the throws of the pandemic, we did everything over the phone. His quick responses and attention to detail was so appreciated. They walk you through all of the steps with confirmation texts, emails, and phone calls, if needed. They provide all the permits, even contacting our homeowners association.

  You will not find a better solar company than WEST COAST SOLAR! My experience from start to finish has been INCREDIBLE! My sales rep, Devin Wilson was EXCEPTIONALLY professional, respectful and worked his tail off to meet my needs! My installation team, Brad and Zach, made the whole experience an absolute pleasure. Every single contact with their office staff was beyond my expectations. Melissa, was particularly wonderful! The attention to detail, the willingness to bend over backwards to get the job done to my satisfaction and their downright friendly 'part of the family' attitudes made me deeply happy that I opted to use them as my solar provider/installer.

  Well....it has been a year and we got our first True up from PG&E. We got money back (sort of). Bottom line: the calculations Mike Kleeman did proved to be true. We can run the A/C a bit more this year and still be good. Our gas was another story and nothing to do with solar. However, the money PG&E owed us applied to those bills. West Coast did an amazing job from start to finish. Mike has answered all questions timely and professionally. I would definitely recommend this combination of West Coast Solar and MIke Kleeman if you are even thinking about going solar.

  If you are looking for an All-Star solar team, look no further. This is by far the most experienced and professional solar company in the Bay Area. From the initial sales appointment, design, install, everything went super smooth! My system went up and running quickly and now I can watch my meter run backwards!   West Coast Solar has excellent sales reps and installation technicians. They were very knowledgeable, and very helpful. They have a real good warranty on their panels. I was very impressed with Mike Kleeman's knowledge. Also, the fact that Mike said we could call him anytime with questions speaks volumes of the company. I would have given the company a 5 rating if my bird repellent barriers would have been installed sooner. I would definitely refer this company to other people.

  We had West Coast Solar install panels last year. We got our True Up bill from PG & E last month and it was $4200. Our panels were never monitored by West Coast Solar for the entire year and the system is defective and never was producing. Been dealing with West Coast Solar to pay for our PG &E bill since our system was defective and they said they would pay for half of it but we have to take responsibility too... Our system is still not fixed and they don't know what is wrong with it because they were out last week and said they fixed the problem but it's still not producing.

  Be very careful about using this company for solar installation. My experience has been one of serial incompetence. We were promised a one day installation. We are now past 4 days and the process is not complete. These folks are very pleasant but the project management is quite poor. They have sent out staff that are not competent at installing the particular products. Their management of the permitting and inspection process has been awful. In this competitive environment I would look around carefully. This company's incompetence has cost me a good deal of time and money.

  I was surprised at the "slowness" of this company just to get an estimate. Maybe it was because they knew I was getting three estimates? Very nice salesman came out on on Thurs, April 26 and said he would email me an estimate that night or the next day, Friday. The next Tuesday, May 1st, he emailed apologizing for the delay, said it was just waiting for approval and that he would email it to me that night or the next day.
