  Great experience working with Milholland...shout out to Maya Cvijic who kept me informed of the status every step of the way - never a delay answering my questions. I have a shake cedar shingle roof with many years of life left. Apparently, solar companies don't like shake roofs....Milholland / McKay Roofing was the go to company that found a solution. The team did a great job with the promise / guarantee of no leaks! The Sun Power panels are the one's I wanted after much research, and Milholland put those on my roof. I'm making power galore even in November. Do yourself a favor and call these folks before you decide on a Solar company.

  Did a reroof and solar with Milholland Electric. They used quality underlayment and materials for the reroof, so the roof should be good for years. They were able to route the conduit for the solar through the attic to the garage as well as mount the boxes inside the garage making for a very clean solar installation. Overall, I’m very happy with the work and price.

  Excellent experience from first contact through installation. From the company’s president through all the technicians, design team and project coordinator we were impressed with their knowledge, expertise and the care they showed for our project. We felt secure selecting Milholland because it is a company that has been in San Diego more than 30 years and will be there for our support in the future.

  Great work. Milholland Solar & their subcontracted roofing crews did a wonderful job on installing an entire roof ... and solar panels on the new roof. They addressed all of my concerns and made me feel comfortable with their plans of action. It started out a little rough on the initial execution, but it all worked out in the end. They worked very hard, were customer service oriented, & ensured I was happy with the work that was done. You will not go wrong when picking Milholland Electric. Thanks William McCray and crew.   Excellent one-stop-shop for your solar and/or roofing needs. You can tell they take great pride in their work to ensure customer satisfaction. Very professional (yet personable), communicative, and honest. They were also in-and-out. I don't know if I got lucky, but over the span of a couple weeks I had a beautiful new roof and functioning solar. They kept me informed through the entire process and it was completely painless.   Very happy with our decision to install Solar with Milholland. They are very knowledgeable, reliable and always available to answer our questions. Installation took a little longer than expected due to rain and high volume at the end of the year but we are very satisfied with the finished product.   Recently had roof and electric meter replaced and solar installed by Milholland. The roof and solar look Great and more importantly all is working well. The project manager (Maya) communicated with us every step of the way...Thank you Maya! We'd been researching/considering solar for some time and glad we finally purchased.   We recently used Milholland to provide a new roof and install Solar. Everything was incredibly smooth and well done. Starting with planning and preparation conducted by Jason, we knew it would be a great experience. He was very knowledgeable and always available to answer any questions. Once the planning was finished we worked with Maya to establish a schedule and set up appointments, and she too was great. She always responded promptly and met all deadlines. For both the roof and solar, all schedules were laid out clearly, and all deadlines met to the day. Once our solar was installed, SDG&E came out and inspected the work within a day, and our solar was activated two days later. All of the work looks great and so far works fantastic. I would highly recommend Milholland, it is a very professional and reliable company.

  We had our solar installed about 10 years ago. The company has since been bought by Tesla. Because we leased our equipment but paid the lease up front Tesla refused to service our system. Our problem was a leak under the solar panels. Every company we called refused to touch the panels because they did not install them and roofers would not fix the leak unless the panels were lifted and the roofers refused to do this. All this happened before Thanksgiving. Our handyman opened the bedroom ceiling and pulled out the soggy insulation. We put a bucket to catch the rain pouring in. Finally we happened upon Milholland. The timing was poor in that they were busy installing solar before the tax credits expired at the end of the year. But yes they could do the work but not until January. We we pleased to finally find someone to help us. They came out and gave an estimate. In January the crew came out and lifted the panels and repaired the roof. The work needed was more extensive than originally thought but they stuck to their estimate. We had the ceiling repaired by our handyman. Lot of rain now and no leaks present. I cannot give enough kudos to Milholland for stepping in and helping us out. We were between a rock and a hard place. But they came through. 5+ stars to them.

  Milholland Electric was a pleasure to work with, starting with Jason who first came to explain their process to me, to Maya and Austin who guided me through the process. The installers were on time, got it done on time as promised, and were all very pleasant.   We just had solar installed. We love it! They also rewired our garage and replaced many of the fixtures and wiring throughout our house. The whole job quote to permission to operate took less than 30 days. Jason was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and the electrician Dave did a fabulous job!

  We had Milholland install a 32 panel system on our house back in 2013 and they did a great job! We even had them repaper the roof, upgrade the electrical panel and install electric vehicle charging stations in the garage. There were some initial delays getting started and scheduling issues/ additional delays during the process but they were apologetic and kind enough to provide a credit for the trouble. Harry provided a lot of information and guidance on the front end and was very helpful throughout construction. We have no complaints with workmanship and all of the workers were very professional and courteous. Its been almost 4 years and have had absolutely no problems with their installation (and have paid almost nothing for electricity since!) They've actually even checked in a couple of times since installation regarding their ongoing monitoring of system production.

  I strongly recommend Milholland for electric work. We first learned about them/had them recommended by the owner of Approved Home Pros (sandiegoapprovedhomepros… ) at their Del Mar show. We worked primarily with Daryl and Jeffrey over the course of several weeks/months trying to troubleshoot some of our current electrical safety issues (GFCI outlet installations and potentially re-routing a microwave power line) and to get estimates for some larger potential projects we'd might like to press with eventually (dedicated external outlet which could support a heater for the patio and a dedicated line to support a jacuzzi as well as possibly a larger capacity panel eventually). Both Daryl and Jeffrey took their time with us, listened well to understand what our concerns were, and educated us on our current electrical set-up, options and potential creative solutions for our electrical issues. We never felt like we were dealing with salespeople when working with them. They were always professional and courteous and we felt their bids for services were reasonable.

  I had interviewed a couple other solar companies prior to finding Milholland. Milholland has been in business for more than 25 years and their experience shows. Milholland showed up on time, and followed through with everything they promised and more. I have had other projects done on my house over the years and have never been more impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail as I have had with Milholland. I couldn't recommend them more. The entire process from start to finish was perfection.

  We had Milholland remove (and reinstall) existing solar panels so that we could have a new roof installed. Their bid was competitive, and everyone we spoke with at the company was professional and courteous. They were so easy to work with, being flexible on timing and always communicating regarding progress and next steps. I wish they had been the company to install our panels in the first place. If we purchase another home in San Diego that needs solar installed, I would not hesitate to use these guys.

  Looked into a roof replacement and solar. Researched several companies and interviewed Milholland based on a recommendation from a friend. Right away their company reps treated me with great customer service and did not try any forced sales tactics. Their quotes were even very competitive compared to the other companies I interviewed. I felt very comfortable with Milholland from day one. I even had a few questions on the contract language and they were amenable to make a few pen and ink changes to the contract. We decided to go w/ the SunPower panels with micro inverters. In the end they completed both the roof and solar project with outstanding customer service and kept me informed throughout the project. All their workers were very professional and courteous. Special shout out to Arturo Cuervas for the roof project and to River Brown and Brandon Pasborg for the great support on the solar project. They were all very responsive to my numerous concerns and questions.

  What an amazing company and staff! My mom used them to handle the electric/ wiring for our family house going solar and was super impressed by the service! They showed up on time and ready to go. Very friendly team (and if you appreciate some nice eye candy while they're doing their thing on your roof, this definitely is an added benefit! ;) Just sayin'!)   Milholland did our solar installation ahead of schedule and on budget. What more could you ask for? Well, you could ask for all the crew to be skilled, polite, on time and courteous. They were. You could ask for the process to be fast and easy. It was. Not only was the job done right but they discovered problems with the electrical panel that could have put my family in danger and fixed it right the first time. We interviewed at least 5 other companies and I'd recommend Milholland hands down.

  After interviewing and getting bids from 4 different companies that were highly rated on Yelp and the BBB, I choose these guys and was not let down! I worked with Harry who was very knowledgeable and was able to answer my technical questions, unlike some of the other companies which were marketing focused. He gave me a strong bid off the bat, which I had the other companies try to match. One of which wouldn't even try, probably because they were a solar marketing company who contracts out their work.

  These guys were simply great. They were prompt, friendly and professional all the way through the process. While the estimated time to complete installation was four to five days, they actually got all the solar panels installed on my roof in under two full days.   Milholland Electric was the contract installer for our new Sungevity Solar system. They installed our system and did it in the most efficient, professional, and painless way imaginable. All of their staff were highly skilled and respectful and made various suggestions to us (and Sungevity) to improve our solar set up We couldn't be happier with our new system (which was accomplished on a no cost lease, by the way, so that we were able to start saving from day one). We wouldn't hesitate to use them for our electrical needs in the future.
