  My wife and I were tired of paying hundreds of dollars to SoCal Edison, especially with the extreme heat we've experienced the last several years. After speaking with a colleague who had used David from O'Hara Solar to install their solar system, I had to give him a call to see how much I could save. He was very much my solar teacher and educated me on all the questions I had. Following an effortless process of roof repair, solar panel and battery installation and activation with Edison, we we saving money and got a federal tax rebate for purchasing our solar system!   After speaking to quite a few potential solar providers, it was a breath of fresh air to speak with David at O'Hara Solar. He is knowledgeable, up-front, honest, communicative, and it was very clear to my wife and I that he values both his customers time and money. Frankly it would have saved me some time if I had simply found O'Hara Solar first as they definitely stand out from the crowd particularly amidst all the noise that is the SoCal solar industry.   O’Hara Solar went beyond our expectations when it came to us getting solar! We were hesitant about the costs but our electricity bill was just too high. We had some quotes from other companies, however we still felt in the dark about the process and costs. The other companies approaches felt impersonal and like we were just a sales target.   Most knowledgeable person I’ve met when it comes to solar. Even more important, when I had a question O’Hara and associates didn’t immediately know the answer to, they told me they’d find out.   Talk about an easy process and feeling comfortable with such a large purchase. David and his team were very thorough with all questions and were in constant communication throughout the design/permits/install. From the first meeting to flipping the switch it took six weeks.   Over the years, I had met and done numerous interviews/discussions/meetings with other solar companies and none of them piqued my interest nor did I get a sense of a ‘trust’ feeling (if you know what I mean) until David. Everything fell together without a hitch—from contract signing, design of the system and submission to the County for approval, to installation and final County inspection. And lastly, turning on the switch for my complete reliance on solar, all this in a 4 week period. Incredible job and well done! Thank you, David, for all you did to make it happen.

  Since the City of Orange is my hometown, I wanted a local solar company and not just something big time and popular. David O'Hara fit the bill when it came to being patient with my endless questionsand informing me of all the steps and being there when I needed him. His contractor Jesus was friendly and professional and the installation process went fairly smooth, save for the waiting for both the city and SCE inspections, but ours went pretty quick compared to other stories I have heard. Solar is a necessity now in our world, especially in Southern California/Orange County. Go Green. Go O'Hara Solar!
