  Nabu Energy installed a battery backup system for my 9 kW solar roof. The main problem we faced was that the inverters, made by SolarEdge, didn't work. SolarEdge stonewalled us for about 9 months, but Nabu kept after them until SolarEdge finally sent us working inverters (but only after a complaint to the Better Business Bureau). Nabu spent enless hours dealing with SolarEdge, and Nabu even repaid me for electricity that I used because the inverters didn't work. Nabu went way, way beyond what was necessary, and I am very grateful to them. I recommend them without reservation.

  After reviewing a number solar installation providers, we narrowed down to Nabu Energy for our solar panel installation. First they explained very well about each of the component that goes into the solar energy systems. Provided options for panel, racking system, inverter and shared pros and cons of different manufacturer. They also provided the recommendation based on their experience and didn't push one manufacturer over other.

  I am sharing one of the best business experiences my family has ever had; and it was with NABU Energy. We were introduced to NABU and spoke to Mr. Keith on August 26th; shortly thereafter we entered into a contract with NABU Energy for the purchase and installation of our solar system. The system was turned on, on October 20th, less than 2 months later!

  Overall, a pretty good experience and I would recommend Nabu. Harsh provided very good information on all the components that go in a system and what to look for. Site survey was done quickly and design was available soon after. Due to Covid and other issues, installation did not happen for 2 months. Once completed, it cleared inspection on the first attempt.

  We would definitely recommend NABU to anybody. We found then after quoting with multiple companies. The tie-breaker was they promised quick install and one of our friends highly recommended them to me. Great solar system, excellent workmanship, very professional people, they got the job done before due date, from start to finish they were excellent, would definitely recommend them to anybody.

  I did quite some research of multiple solar energy vendors and selected Nabu energy for my home solar project. Nabu energy team proved that my decision was correct and did an excellent job from start to finish on the project. Firstly, I spoke with Harsh who was the sales head for Nabu, he was very informative and detail oriented in explaining various panel options (premium v/s economical), inverter options, racking system, battery backup requirement. This really helped clear my confusion on the multiple options out in the market and choose the system I would like to have. Next, he came to home promptly took a look at the electric meter, roof, went over the net metering offered by PGE and in few days came back with a very competitive quote beating the other vendors quote. After I signed the contract, Nabu operation team (Will, Bhushan) took over and did a great job in providing panel outlay design, getting the city permits and finally addressing the installation. All the Nabu folks whom I interacted in this project were very responsive, knowledgeable and answered my queries satisfactorily. Definitely would recommend Nabu energy for folks who would want to go solar.

  My electric usage wasn't huge, so going solar means ONLY if it makes sense in terms of ROI. For that reason, I was picky in terms of who I should go with for solar installation. I did get a LOT of quotes from various vendors. I did that for a couple of reasons 1) I didn't know anything about solar, so I had to talk to people to understand the offering, and 2) I wasn't convinced of the value they would provide.

  I absolutely loved my experience with Nabu Energy. I was hesitant at first since they didn't have many yelp reviews. However I compared about 25 quotes (energy sage combined with yelp quotes). What made Nabu stand out was Keith - he wasn't very salesy at all and instead answered all my geeky questions patiently. Plus Keith really knew his stuff as we were doing a full house remodel as well and were trying to figure out the right size of a system to prepare for future changes. I got the quote in late Nov and permits were approved 1 day after submission to Los Altos, install was done mid Dec. Although I know that's not the normal timing for permit approval (2 weeks), it was amazing as we didn't know if the tax credit was going to be extended beyond Dec and wanted to do solar this year in case we could also cover a portion of the roof which was redone. The delivery and installation were done with top quality crew who showed up on time (wow!) and were so nice, friendly and efficient! Lastly Keith followed up with me to review my first bill together and will also follow up again a few months from now. To top it all off, the previous customers I checked before selecting them had great things to say and the price was among the lowest! VERY AWESOME!

  After reviewing several quotes, I decided to go with Nabu. Why? Because not only their quote was best among all, they were using LG 380 series panels which has a good rating. In my neighborhood Nabu had done atleast 7-8 installations and I could see the difference with Nabu and others, You don't need to put panel skirt to hide bolts and railing, their panel sits pretty close to roof that you don't see any bolts or railing from the front. On the installation date, Bill and Pedro showed up on time and did fantastic job, they were very informative and answered all my questions patiently. If you are looking for Solar I would highly recommend Nabu.

  Most people would hesitate Nabu Energy because of not many reviews are available for them. I agree with this factor, but probably that's the relatively young company would have as disadvantage. Other reviewers mentioned Keith and Harsh, and actually the same person depending goes by first or last name. He is very knowledgeable about Solar system including panel, electrical system, permit etc. I have had 2.7kW system since 2015, and wanted additional system. Although, this project was not big enough to getting attention, Harsh visited my home next day after the first contact, figured out what needs to be done, and also patiently answered to a lot of my questions.

  I spent much time and energy researching solar companies to install a system on my roof. In all I interviewed and received proposals from 12 different companies both local and regional and NABU gave me far and away the best combination of correct system design, service, communication and price. My install was not easy with much shading from my neighbors tree but they were able to design a system that will meet my production needs without unnecessary less efficient panel's. I worked with Harsh who was knowledgeable. friendly and always responsive. From start to finish including permitting, inspection and PG&E interconnection the project took only about 2 weeks and I couldn't be happier.
