Book an Appointment : Better Earth Solar
The island community of Santa Cruz in Colombia has been facing numerous challenges for years, including an unreliable power grid, limited access to internet and lack of consistent food sources. However, through a partnership with GivePower and Beast Philanthropy, Better Earth has been able to make a significant impact on this community's life. With Better Earth's expertise in solar installation, the partnership has installed a sustainable solar grid, provided internet access, and even surprised the community with a long-term food source. In this blog post, we will dive into the partnership's efforts and their impact on the Santa Cruz island community.
Better Earth, GivePower, and Beast Philanthropy have developed a sustainable solar grid on the island that is transforming the community's access to reliable electricity. The solar grid has decreased the island's reliance on diesel generators, reducing environmental impact and bringing clean energy to the region. The solar grid consists of more than ten thousand high-performance solar panels that deliver reliable energy, and each panel is inspected for durability before installation. The panels can generate up to 300 MWh annually, which means that it can power up to 230 households in the area. The solar grid is also expected to save the community roughly $3.5 million in energy costs over the plant's lifetime.
