  SunPower was great throughout the process. They handled everything with the town and the utility to gain approvals, kept me well informed, and executed nicely on the install.   First ... it starts with their office staff ... Mara and Arianna were so respectful and very helpful especially I getting information from PG&E ... they walk us through from the 1st step to the approval ... Then ... here comes the turning ON of the solar system ... Dago Guzman is very professional. He knows what his doing and explained thoroughly the steps and what to expect. He did his job well. Dago has a very good people skills ... respectful and a family man. SunPower is fortunate having him as an employee ...Dago loves his job ...   The technician Dennis Boyce was really helpful. He was knowledgeable in answering my questions. He upgraded the software and activated the system successfully. He set up expectation before the job, so that I know what is to happen, as well as how long it will take. After the task, he showed me how to monitor the system, as well as maintenance tips.

  Ryan at SunPower support was very courteous and patient. He walked me through setting my account. I called in yesterday and the person was back and forth for over an hours with no resolution but Ryan got me up and running in 5 minutes.

  We had such a good experience with our representative, John Benavides. He was so professional and patient with our questions, often redundant, and our time line. Sunpower's Zoom presentation is very comprehensive, all the aspects and costs completely detailed. This company is completely competitive with any other, and from our research, more professional and customer-oriented.   Everything is done professionally during installation, however, there were few back and forth for city permit issue because of my detached garage setup, but all completed in the end. Sunpower reimbursed me for the inconvenience -- especially this was not their fault. Also online representative Chris is very helpful for handling my web portal login issue.   I highly recommend SunPower. They got me the Sunpower 415watt panels on a great deal and install was seamless. From beginning to the end, they were understanding and flexible with my moving target date for my home getting built. I appreciated how courteous SunPower was throughout. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. They came out to go over the system and make sure everything is running smoothly. As a first time solar customer, I was nervous about choosing any solar company- but I'm so glad I picked SunPower!

  I leased my system about this time last year (mid-June). I was excited when Matthew Killing approached me right after I got my new roof. I found out solar is affordable now. So the two biggest hurdles I had holding me back (price and concern over how long the roof might last) were handled when we said 'hi' in my garage. In my part of Illinois, a lot of first time solar was installed last year. Where Sunpower really set themselves apart were the details. Some of the other companies didn't bother with important details, and the stainless steel tubing you can see on the roofs of their installs are sometimes hideous.

  Had issues setting up monitoring from email I was sent from Sunpower. Got on the chat app, wait was long however, it told me how many were in front so I was able to come back. Once I was next, Jomel gave me a hand. Set up my account, verified the passwords, verified that I was able to get in.... can't complain. Regarding this issue, 5 stars.

  This is based on the customer service I received from the technician Bruce, not only was he prompted but he also explained everything in detail, who I needed to call if I had questions and what I need to do in cause of emergencies.   This company takes care of you from just learning about solar to actually installing it and maintenance. They take care of everything, they even helped me battle sdge who are not happy about people going solar.   The Sunpower team operated on a very professional manner, arriving on time, discussing the project with me, working efficiently and cleaning up after the project was finished. I am, also, pleased with the look of the design. It is unobtrusive from the street side, but appears to be oriented for maximum sun exposure. The panels are grouped in a pleasing arrangement. My only complaint would be that on a couple of occasions, the team was somewhat delayed in returning my call, though when they did, they were very patient with questions and concerns.

  As an employee of SunPower, the decision to go solar was an easy one, and choosing a solar product was even easier. I am very familiar with the high production, high efficiency, amazing aesthetics and excellent quality of our SunPower panels, so I knew what I was getting. In early 2018, my husband and I made the decision to go solar. Before beginning, however, we decided to replace our existing roof with a new high-quality roof. Upon completing the roof project, I contacted our local SunPower dealer, Freedom Solar in Austin, Texas, and gave them the green light to start the process.

  I've now had my Sunpower system for a year. I have recognized it to be producing more than promised. This is my 2nd solar array. I added this system when I bought my Chevy Bolt EV. The 1st solar array I had was with Solarcity in 2014. They ran conduit across the roof and installed a bulky inverter on the side of my home. When I called to complain about the way they ran the conduit, they grudgingly returned to paint it. Solarcity / Tesla has been out to maintain a couple times and is scheduled to revisit a 3rd time. This is the exact opposite experience with Sunpower. It was hard getting it started due to PG&E requesting specific information on the old Tesla system. As homeowner, Sunpower consultant Bill Gurgol and sales manager Kyle Baker communicated well . This was between PG&E, Tesla and Sunpower interconnection team to empower permission to operate just after PG&E had switched to NEM 2.0. I am certain this process would have taken longer without the proactive interaction of this sales support team.

  I have worked with companies in solar on the marketing side of things (never with SunPower, only know them by reputation), including with module manufacturers, installers and financiers, and so know a little bit about the tech, the process, and the options (buy v. lease). I met with three companies and each one gave me their pitch. By far the most credible, customer friendly and knowledgeable was Ian Bamer at SunPower. I had one other vendor outright lie and say they have the best warranty in the industry.....they don't.

  Just received my PG&E bill and it prompted me to look at our usage since our solar was installed last November. Great to see the solar system working so well. After looking around, we decided to go with Sunpower and have them do the install. I was worried about having contractors do it in case the contractor went out of business. The purchase and install went great. I was very specific about my desire not to see any conduit and they delivered. The city inspector also commented on the "clean install". We've had great power ever since. The phone app seems to work well. If I'm stuck in a boring meeting, I'll sometimes glance at my solar production. Highly recommend.

  Their product has the best efficiency compare to other companies. Their 360 watts panels are very unique and has the best production rate. We leased those pannel for 20 years and we are very happy from our decesion.
