  This is a follow up to my prior posting 7 years ago. I had Super Solar back to do a check up on the system they installed. They arrived on time, did a thorough inspection and provided me with a report on the performance of the system. The report showed that the system out performed the estimated production by 10%!!.

  Szilard and Super Solar were strongly recommended to me by a colleague who worked with them almost a decade ago! Szilard was responsive, very scientific in his approach to the solar installation and was very informative when it came to addressing my engineering curiosity about solar installation. He took the effort to gather the necessary data from our roof (we live in a shaded area) and established that it was possible to install solar here, and explained the pros and cons of different system designs to me

  Super Solar is extremely thorough, professional, and pleasant to work with. We have been researching solar for many years, and decided this was the time to end our astronomical PG&E bills. We received numerous quotes. One of the companies invited to provide a proposal claimed we have too much shade from Redwoods nearby to make it economical. Super Solar came out and did a thorough analysis, determining that we could certainly host a large system that will take us to $0 electrical costs. I can't detail the myriad items they covered in advance--including sending me photos of a conduit on the roof that needed to be put back together.

  I've found SS to be responsive, and they do solid professional work at a fair price. They will also go to bat for you with your equipment suppliers. Give them a chance; I think you'll be pleased.

  Completely disagree with Honest R's 4/25/19 review, Szilard and his company are small, high quality, and cautious about what projects they take on. In contrary to this review, I live in a very nice neighborhood in Lafayette and was promptly referred to Szilard's former partner's solar company as he was too busy. He took time to reassure me about his referral, and his colleagues performed top notch, efficient, and very affordable work. The negative review appears scathing and exaggerated, and seeing as how Szilard and company are genuinely good, honest, and hard working folk, they deserve no less in their clients. Give them a try, but they are busy. The best ones always are.

  Szilard and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Great communicators, took care of all the paperwork, built the system in 2 days, panels went exactly where they said they would go, and they passed inspection on the first try. Top notch all around...highly recommended!

  Szilard and his crew are the best. I went through a number of other solar providers (including the big guys like Sun City) and felt so confused. But Szilard stepped us through everything very clearly and helped us really think about our energy uses, including future energy uses. All the other guys just wanted to see my PG&E bill and assume the system should equate the last few month's usage.

  Super Solar recently installed a solar system at my home. Szilard and his team are real professionals. They understand solar and did a great job working with me at each juncture in the process. They coordinated with a roofing contractor, the city, and PG&E perfectly to make sure everything went very smoothly.

  I have to say we started to fee the pressure to better manage our energy needs when during the winter the electric heater in our daughter's room raised our electricity bill significantly. In our new home, which required many other fixes, the last this we were considering is to put solar panels to the roof. Then, the pressure about the prospective changes in net metering made us start a research in an alternative energy source. Contacted multiple companies and felt very uncomfortable with some of their sales person's pressured approach. By the time I came across Super Solar's reviews, I knew what I want and I did not want.

  Deciding on a solar system is a big decision in the dollar dept. Working with Super Solar I knew I was getting the right system for my needs. Szilard explained the process, the equipment, and answered all my questions with obvious expertise.

  Szilard was knowledgeable and very competent. The install went smoothly and went in on time. He even included modifying two exterior outlets for us. There were a few hiccoughs around getting set up with PG&E and one change to the plans (matching the plans to what was installed, not the other way around) after inspection, but those were all handled within 2 days. he is enthusiastic and confident. We have only had the solar for a few days, but it is already cranking out the kWh!

  We've been down the solar road many times in the last few years, but really just wasn't making sense. With the whole new "lease program" being pitched, I was once again intrigued by the concept. After crunching the numbers we went into purchase mode verses "lease program". Shopped it hard, and narrowed down to one of the larger solar companies & the "local guy" - Szilard @ Super Solar.

  As a three-generational household of 7, our PG&E bills are REALLY high, leading us to consider installing solar. Having been either ignored by solar companies who failed to reply to our inquiries, or assaulted by overly aggressive sales folks, it was a pleasure to find Super Solar, a small local firm that takes customer service seriously and really gets the job done.

  A little over 18 months ago, I had Super Solar install a solar system on my roof, after having estimates provided by 3 different highly-Yelp-rated companies (including Super Solar). It's a 4.5kW system, with a dual inverter (I have half my panels facing east and the other half west), and it has been performing beautifully.

  Amazing, honest, hardworking folks. I liked working with these guys so much because unlike a lot of big companies, there was no hype, no bs, and no wasted time. They did very high quality work for a reasonable amount of $ and there is no middleman. From start to finish I worked with Yuri and Szlilard, who were very clear communicators, highly reliable and punctual to boot! I had interviewed six different companies and received six quotes. I'm very happy with our system;, erasing our carbon footprint and producing our own energy! Highly recommend!
