  I was surprised at the "slowness" of this company just to get an estimate. Maybe it was because they knew I was getting three estimates? Very nice salesman came out on on Thurs, April 26 and said he would email me an estimate that night or the next day, Friday. The next Tuesday, May 1st, he emailed apologizing for the delay, said it was just waiting for approval and that he would email it to me that night or the next day.

  We had West Coast Solar install panels last year. We got our True Up bill from PG & E last month and it was $4200. Our panels were never monitored by West Coast Solar for the entire year and the system is defective and never was producing. Been dealing with West Coast Solar to pay for our PG &E bill since our system was defective and they said they would pay for half of it but we have to take responsibility too... Our system is still not fixed and they don't know what is wrong with it because they were out last week and said they fixed the problem but it's still not producing.

  West Coast Solar has excellent sales reps and installation technicians. They were very knowledgeable, and very helpful. They have a real good warranty on their panels. I was very impressed with Mike Kleeman's knowledge. Also, the fact that Mike said we could call him anytime with questions speaks volumes of the company. I would have given the company a 5 rating if my bird repellent barriers would have been installed sooner. I would definitely refer this company to other people.

  Be very careful about using this company for solar installation. My experience has been one of serial incompetence. We were promised a one day installation. We are now past 4 days and the process is not complete. These folks are very pleasant but the project management is quite poor. They have sent out staff that are not competent at installing the particular products. Their management of the permitting and inspection process has been awful. In this competitive environment I would look around carefully. This company's incompetence has cost me a good deal of time and money.

  If you are looking for an All-Star solar team, look no further. This is by far the most experienced and professional solar company in the Bay Area. From the initial sales appointment, design, install, everything went super smooth! My system went up and running quickly and now I can watch my meter run backwards! Thanks again West Coast Solar!
