Emily and the team at Solar Technologies did outstanding work from start to finish for a PowerWall design and install, and an approved solar design. The project took 3 years, due to supply shortages at Tesla. The team at Solar Technologies was always available to answer my questions and handle my concerns. GREAT WORK!

My case was resolved shortly after I wrote a review for Solar technology. Although I was not very happy with all the delays in my project at the beginning but I have to say the installing team was very professional and nice.

We had Solar Technologies install two Tesla Powerwalls at our house this week and we are very happy. The entire process went smoothly and the technicians who did the install, Danny and Jessie, were very skilled and a pleasure to work with. They took the time to make sure the installation looked and performed perfectly and took care with every step of the process. Our power walls look great and are a perfect match for our existing solar panels. We are now ready for any power outages that PGE sends our way. Highly recommended :)

I did quite a bit of homework to find the solar panel solution for our townhouse in Hayward. First I looked at all of the major national companies to find what looked like the best company--dependable, safe and long lasting technology. After these discussions, I realized that going with a national firm meant they would be choosing the installation team. I then thought that I wanted to find the best local company to do the installation of the solution that I had chosen.

Jason and the rest of the team at Solar Technologies are awesome. From start of the process to installation, they were communicative, responsive and provided excellent service. Even after installation, they took the time to walk through our system and energy bills to go over what to expect.

They did a great job. Never got a hard sell, and everything was done extremely professionally and it was super easy. It took awhile to get it installed as they were backed up, but we were warned about that up front.

We used Bay Area SunShares to explore the option of going solar(they host online seminars which we learned a lot). Solar Technologies is one of the three pre-vetted solar providers. We ended up picking Solar Technologies because two main reasons, 1. Sunpower panels, 2. Nick who answered gazillion questions from us.

This was the first time we considered solar and with so many companies out there we didn't know where to start. I got Solar Technologies information from my company internal site. We were using Sunpower for our new parking structure's solar array so employees were given a discount for home installations. From our first meeting to installation we were very happy with Jason Coolman and his team. He's honest, extremely knowledgeable and answered ALL our questions...you can tell he's passionate about solar! We never felt pressured even though it took us months to decide. Anytime anyone asks us about solar we hand over his contact information bc everyone should have an experience like ours. When we had issues (minor) they were addressed immediately without any follow up on our end. I even received a message from Jason recently explaining the tax incentive process just in time for tax season. Does your solar rep bend over backwards to make sure your happy and you have everything you need? If not, call Jason!

We had thought about solar for years but never spent the time to research and follow through on it. Last fall some reps from Sungrade Solar came knocking and next thing we knew we were contemplating going with a PPA agreement where they would put up the panels at no immediate cost to us, but we would agree to buy our electricity from their finance company for the next 20 years. But I'm the type who needs to research any decision thoroughly, and thankfully I did before going forward because once I started really researching I found out that different solar companies use very different equipment and designs. I think going solar in any way you can do it is still going to save you $ vs. sticking with PG&E rising rates, but if you want the maximum return you should consider buying your system outright (with a solar loan if necessary) and going with the most efficient panels which are manufactured by SunPower .

ST just completed an installation of 11 SunPower panels on my home in Greenbrae. Having spent a frustrating 6 months going through the marketing 'gauntlet' with two large online solar retailers, been told numerous things that were blatantly incorrect, and finding their documents both misleading and poorly drafted, I nearly gave up on solar. But I decided to give it one more go after seeing recommendations for ST on a neighborhood website. I called Nick Bahrenburg and was immediately impressed by his knowledge of the product and the industry. He took the time to walk me through the technical issues, the installation process and a host of other questions -- very nice guy -- and I felt no pressure. I was comfortable with him from the get-go. You pay a bit more for the SunPower panels, but I think their efficiency and useful life will offset the added cost.

Just completed my first full year of electricity generation from a 16 solar panel installation by Solar Technologies and I am more than pleased with the results. Yes, I reserved judgment for one year to be happy not only with the upfront contracting and installation interactions, but also with the internet service, system reliability and savings they promised-- zero issues since startup and almost 8% greater electricity production than forecast. To be fair regarding the forecast, Solar Technologies informed me before installation that their modeling is conservative and I could get 5-6% more energy using the particular SunPower panels they recommended for my job.

After considerable research on solar systems, components, installers and prices, I decided to go with a SunPower system installed by Solar Technologies in the east bay. Our system installation was just completed a couple days ago and I can report that we were extremely pleased with how everything went. (We haven't yet started generating any solar power obviously, so I cannot comment on the system's actual performance, so this review is mainly as to the experience with Solar Technologies, as opposed to the performance of the panels themselves.)

This summer, Solar Technologies (ST) did a $50, 000 plus installation on my property. It was a complicated and difficult job, because the panels were placed on the down slope of a hill behind our house, having to travel approximately 100 yards to get to my house.

I was referred to Jeff McBean through my financial advisor who had done a great deal of research into the murky world of solar installation. We met with Jeff McBean several times, and found him to be very knowledgable and straight forward. Our system has been up and running for several months and is not only meeting, but exceeding Jeff's expectations. I would have rated our experience 5 stars if it were just based on our interaction with Jeff, but the Sunpower least is really poorly written, vague and very one-sided. My wife is an attorney and let's just say there was a lot of red-lining. The other drawback is the length of time it took to get the system running. Jeff's team installed the system in 2 days, very professional and well- done, but it took several months for all the inspections and connections to PG&E to be completed. I'm not sure how much of this delay was Sunpower's fault, and how much was PG&E's but it was lengthly.

Over the past few weeks, I looked for a reputable vendor to install both a PV system and a pool heating system at my house. In addition to the two big companies, I hand picked a few smaller vendors solely based on Yelp reviews. Solar Technologies was one of the vendors with excellent Yelp reviews. And I can attest the stellar reviews are well deserved.
