  Look I am not much into reviews. But big solar company. Take full advantage of people. Quotes that are double and triple expensive. Nippon offer was down to earth. The first time. I am very satisfied with my quote, the install on my roof. And the help with activating and paperwork thru SCE. Thanks!

  I was reluctant to get solar as I've heard so much negativity from others. But I did my own homework and had them come out. Spoke to Navin multiple times and stayed in constant contact via email. You have choices in financing; low interest over 25 years, but you'll pay points to get it. If you can pay it off sooner, get the higher interest; if you can afford to buy it outright, even better. I was spending anywhere from $115-$350 a month on electric (depending on season), my last two bills (September & October) was $43 and $0 (other then the Edison fees; about $12 a month) I highly recommend Navin and Nippon energy if you're considering going Solar.

  Navin and his crew at Nippon Energy were outstanding with our solar panel installation. Navin's quote was great and he followed up by tailoring our installation to our needs. He did not badger us with deciding to go with him, and I appreciated that. I did a lot of research in making the decision and I landed with Nippon based on their prices and their other great reviews. We ended up having a slightly more complicated installation and needed to retrofit our roof due to our existing metal tiles. We also needed a new electrical panel. Navin's crew did a great job with the electrical and he was very communicative through the whole process. He personally dealt with City of Pasadena permitting (which I know from experience is not fun or straightforward). His workers also all wore masks and were very professional. The work was done quickly once permits were in place and the system is now up and running. We are super pleased with the results and I'd go with Navin and Nippon Energy again. 10/10 for solar installation.

  Nippon energy is an awesome company. After deciding we wanted solar on our house, my wife and I started comparing different solar companies. We initially considered going with Sunrun through Costco, but after receiving a rather expensive quote and reading the bad reviews, we reconsidered. We decided to check out more of the local competition and that's when we found Nippon Energy. Navin contacted us from Nippon Energy and walked us through the whole process while answering any concerns we had. He didn't try to upsell us on anything and he was upfront and honest about whether a battery was useful to us. He explained all of the different system options available and carefully broke down all our costs.

  Linda was so great with us when purchasing our solar. She was very informative and patient with us. I love the results of our solar and I am so glad I went with nippon energy after having a bad experience with another local solar company. Definitely see why they have such good reviews!   I can not say enough good things about this company. I had a bad install from one of the biggest companies out there with the best equipment installed. There was problems from the beging. After 7 months of going back and forth, Nippon Energy came out as a 3rd party to review everything and found not only terrible workmanship on the install I have, but also made a call to the inverter manufacture to make sure the product was installed correctly or not. Unfortunately, it was not installed correctly by the "bigger" company. One call and Nippon was out there. Linda was the most polite and informative person ever.

  Let me paint you a picture: family of (5) with the rain that we've had in February and my roof is leaking into my house - significantly. I called many vendors, and on Saturday night at 8 PM, Shawn responded to my call. Other than listen to me in desperation he responded with "let's meet on Tuesday and just trust me, I won't do you wrong". I did just that and all I can say is that he is good for his word. I have a new roof with cool shingles and solar for 50% less than what other vendors were charging. Essentially replaced my electric bill till I pay off the roof/solar - then it's free. I met with SunLux, Sun Run, Sears, and many more before Nippon Energy. Get back time on your life and call Nippon Energy. All materials used where American made - which I appreciate ! I highly recommend Nippon Energy and call Shawn as he is true to his word - he will take care of you. If you care about quality work, genuine honesty and a job well done.... than this is your company.

  For all things solar Shawn Munden is your guy. I cant say enough abou the integrity of this company. They NEVER try to upsell you like others do. Even after the sale Shawn has continued to help our family with questions. I wouldn't trust anyone else

  I am very pleased with Nippon Energy for my solar needs. Although the process had a few issues with the permit process, the utility company, and the inspector, none of the issues were due to the solar company. Navin is great! He responds promptly, even during the evening hours. Our rooftop solar was installed in May of 2016, but being skeptical, after reading some of the horror stories about what is called "true-up" time with the Electric Company, I wanted to wait a full year to see what the full year's bill would be (called the true-up bill). I was quite pleased to pay $73.65 for a full year with SDG&E, which is basically the minimum charge less the California climate credit. I produced 96.5% of my electricity usage for the year, which is more than acceptable given all the rain and cloudy days that we experienced during the 2016-2017 rain season. I actually increased my electricity consumption by about 10% from the previous year, and still paid the SDG&E minimum. I have a 4.76 KW system (4.00 KW AC) of American made panels, using American made micro-inverters with approximately half the panels facing E/SE, and the other half W/NW. Production can be monitored via a mobile app, and is normally within 30 minutes of real-time.

  They installed our system in October 2016. I waited a while to do this review because I wanted to see their AFTER we've paid the bill service. We were not disappointed. They were not the cheapest bid. I interviewed 17 potential vendors. Yes seventeen. The California Residential Solar Market is a little like The Old Wild West. Too many players doing too many "deals" most of them don't benefit YOU in the long run. SHAWN WILL EXPLAIN SOLAR IN A WAY YOU CAN UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING. Nippon Energy and Shawn Munden follow the philosophy that they are here to do the best they can for the customer.

  Thank you Nippon Energy for our solar install. We went with SolarWorld panels and Enphase inverters, a 5.7 kw system. We love our solar panels and love how easy it was to monitor our production on any of our devices. I recommend Nippon Energy to anyone that is looking to go solar and a company that gives us quality and service at an inexpensive price.

  We had solar panels installed by the staff of Nippon Energy in March, and it has been smooth so far. We do however have to wait for the reflected (post-installation) changes in our bill to come, as with all installations. So we will see how well it works for us when that comes.
